Early Days

Chris

was born in Warrington a small town in the north west of England. He then moved to various parts of Cheshire and

Lancashire untill he was seven years old .

He was then adopted by his Grandparents and moved back to Warrington.

After leaving school he discovered a love for motorcycles.

This entailed lots of visits to Hospitals, Magistrates Courts, and Police Stations.

A chance encounter with Fred Fisher ,a chap he had met in a coffe bar in bridge street led eventually to him taking up the hippy lifestyle.

(this was in 1969!)

Here he would like to say Hi to

Charlie and Diane

Mick and Les

Derick,Pete,Brian,Pod, Geoff and Pat

and as they say on the radio

Everyone who knows him

Through this lifestyle he met a lot of students from the local college one of whom was Sandra.

At first he thought she was rather odd,

After meeting her one evening in the local pub he invited her back for coffee and found out she was not odd at all

she was quite round the bend

Sandra

was born in Hamsterley Colliery, County Durham. She moved to Delves Lane, Consett, when she was seven,

then Newhall, South Derbyshire when she was 13.

After attending Burton upon Trent High School for 'Gals' she had several jobs,

including being an Income Tax Officer.

At twenty (in 1970) she realised she was strange and decided to become a teacher (the two were not, neccessarily, connected).
She trained at Padgate College of Education, Warrington, where she met many other strange people, including Chris.

She discovered she did not like children and therefore did not persue her teaching career, but that she did like Chris so persued him instead.

They eventually married in 1974 (purely for tax reasons).

In the meantime an unpromising start in a career with British Telecoms lead to promotion and the offer of a job in Oxford,

which is where it all started to go very even stranger.

Sandra would like to say hello to Ray, Malc and Elaine, Bob (the disc jockey), Alan and Les and anyone else who knew her.
She would also like to profusely apologise to any of her former pupils and hope that the erratic teaching did not affect their subsequent lives too badly.
Mostly, she would like to thank her family (especially her Mum) for putting up with her.

After living together for two years we got jobs ,married ,and bought a house.

We then had the chance to move to another place and chose Oxford .
